Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration process where water molecules are forced through a semi-permeable membrane under intense pressure. The semi-permeable membrane only allows water molecules to pass, treating specified contaminants³ such as arsenic V, barium, chromium and radium 226/228 and microorganisms, such as cryptosporidium and giardia.
